The Tassel Evaluate and Tassel Pathway (ILP) applications were built on top of the AWS cloud infrastructure and conform to AWS Well-Architected best practices to ensure security, reliability, and scalability.
All communication and interaction with web apps, mobile apps, and back-end web services are SSL SHA-256 with RSA encrypted. And all sensitive data is encrypted in the database itself. All photos and videos collected by evaluate are stored in AWS S3 storage and AES-256 encrypted.
Tassel partners with Valceon, a Nashville, TN based independent cyber security firm, to provide independent third-party security monitoring and auditing of our entire infrastructure. We do this to ensure compliance with all security procedures and overall best practices.
All information collected is stored securely in the AWS infrastructure and backed up regularly, with geo-redundant backup storage to ensure it’s always protected.
In addition to security, we’re also concerned with data privacy, so all Tassel, LLC employees are trained annually in FERPA to ensure a full understanding of data privacy and confidentiality as it applies to our customers.
